Building spaces — physical, digital, and cultural — where work feels human.
For over 25 years, I’ve been exploring how design can help organizations see through the eyes of their customers—researching, teaching, leading teams, and building experiences that actually feel human. I’m currently Head of Research for Chubb’s Experience Lab, helping our senior leaders build a microunderstanding of our customers—so the decisions we make are as human, profitable, and forward-looking as the company behind them.
I've worked with hundreds of professionals over the years, guiding teams, shaping strategy, and helping organizations find their way toward human-centered outcomes that actually mean something.
But if you strip away the titles, I’ve always been drawn to the deeper stuff: building trust, nurturing creative culture, and helping people come home to themselves at work. I’m at my best when I’m making space—for clarity, for collaboration, for growth. I’ve been lucky to spend a good chunk of my career helping others do the same, whether in a conference room, a classroom, or a barn.
I’ve recently been exploring the role of third spaces—those in-between places that aren’t home and aren’t work—as the next frontier of experience. In an age where AI reshapes how we live and connect, I believe these human-scale gathering places are more vital than ever. I’m deeply interested in how we can reimagine community, creativity, and belonging—especially when the digital world keeps getting faster and more fragmented.
I live in central New Jersey (there is a central NJ and yes, it’s pork roll) with my wife and Franklin the bulldog. And though my kids are all over the map Chloe (PST) Vaughn (EST) and Lucy (GMT) you got my word I vouch for all of them. ;)
